A growing UK security and data protection consultancy is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years' experience in cyber or information security who's ready for more responsibility, more client exposure, and a wider mix of projects.
What You'll Do
Working alongside experienced senior consultants, you'll support a diverse portfolio of short engagements and ongoing longer-term security improvement programmes. Depending on your background and interests, you'll gain hands‑on experience across areas such as:
- Conducting cyber gap analyses and maturity assessments
- Supporting Cyber Essentials readiness and assessments
- Developing policies, risk registers, and governance documentation
- Assisting with ISO 27001 and data‑protection compliance activities
- Helping shape security roadmaps and practical improvement plans
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years' experience in information or cyber security
- An understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, or broader information‑security concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable style
- Ability to simplify complex topics and offer practical, grounded advice
- Motivation to learn, build your consulting skills, and work directly with clients
- UK-based, with full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
