Senior Financial Controller
Salary: up to £76k
Location: Hybrid (multiple locations)
Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join their team to oversee the management accounting for their UK corporate functions, as well as cash reporting, payroll accounting, and accounts payable activities. This position includes managing a small UK-based team, and supervising work completed by an offshore team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation of management accounts across multiple cost centres, produced by an offshore team.
- Partner with a central FP&A team and oversee accounts payable reconciliations.
- Support budget holders with financial guidance.
- Maintain strong financial controls, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee payroll accounting activities, including reconciliations, cost allocations, and reporting.
- Review cash reporting and forecasts.
- Support improvements to accounts payable processes.
- Lead and develop staff, and contribute to projects.
- Ensure clear communication and compliance with financial processes.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, CGMA, ACCA) with strong management accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of payroll accounting and accounts payable.
- Experience managing people.
- Experience liaising with offshore teams is desirable
- Analytical, organised, and deadline focused.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
