Role: Procurement Advisor
Salary/Rate: £20-24 per hr inside IR35
Location: full time on site in Flintshire NE Wales, reducing to 3x pw
Contract Duration: approx. 4 months
We are currently looking for a Procurement Advisor for our government client. This Procurement Advisor role is based full time on site in Deeside, with future scope for hybrid working. Candidates must commit to 5 days per week on site initially, then this will likely reduce to 3x per week onsite and the remainder of the week working remotely.
The contract for the Procurement Advisor position is until the end of January 2026 with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.
This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.
Essential skills/experience required:
- Worked within public sector previously
- Full procurement lifecycle exposure/knowledge
- Supplier meetings
- Minute taking
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels - working with multiple teams and levels, internal and external
- PA23 training - desirable but not essential
- Jaggaer / CPS - Highly desirable
- CIPS - desirable/beneficial but not essential
Role/responsibilities:
- Responsible to produce appropriate tender documentation, analysing procurement MI to identify ways of improving compliance with contracts and setting up reporting mechanisms to support this.
- Undertake contractual negotiations and oversee departmental budget control.
- Develop and maintain strategic contract management, supporting the overall business strategy.
- Update internal guidance and prepare reports for Senior Management.
