Are you an experienced MSP professional ready to take true ownership of technical operations and make a measurable impact?
A well-established, tight-knit Managed Service Provider based in Tadley is looking for a IT Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve the day-to-day IT service delivery of the business. You'll manage two existing Senior Engineers and act as the crucial link between service delivery, engineering, and the leadership team.
The Role:
As IT Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the technical team - managing workloads, running 1-2-1s, and driving performance.
- Overseeing service delivery and operational performance against SLAs and KPIs, ensuring consistently high-quality client outcomes.
- Acting as the senior point of escalation for major incidents, coordinating effective resolutions and conducting root-cause analysis.
- Driving improvements across tools, processes, documentation, and standards - including potential involvement in an upcoming RMM tool migration.
- Supporting pre- and post-sales activity and evaluating the existing product set.
- Managing and optimising MSP tooling across RMM, PSA, and security platforms.
- Collaborating with leadership, clients, and partners to support growth, client roadmaps, and service excellence.
- Contributing to project management and delivery
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years' experience in a technical leadership role within an MSP or similar IT services environment.
- Strong technical background - particularly Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking (LAN/WAN/firewalls), security, and endpoint management.
- Proven ability to manage and improve service delivery against SLAs and KPIs.
- Hands-on experience with ITIL-based service management (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset).
- Experience with MSP tooling including RMM and PSA platforms; familiarity with Sophos, Mimecast, Unifi, or Ignite is a strong advantage.
- Strong cyber security knowledge - Cyber Essentials, NIST
- Commercial awareness - resource utilisation, cost control, and supporting service profitability.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA, or vendor) are desirable - though practical experience takes priority.
