Service Desk Analyst - Leicester - Onsite - Up to £32K
A nationally renowned utilities company for nearly 50 years is looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join their IT Team. The Service Desk Analyst will be the first point of contact for colleagues with hardware and software issues and work closely with the wider IT team and escalate more complex case. You will be onsite Monday to Friday.
Key requirements:
- Good experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Active Directory
- Hardware troubleshooting experience (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals) and software issues.
- Understanding of network switches, routers, firewalls and security tools (Defender etc.) is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills, with sound judgement and strong attention to detail
Key responsibilities:
- Handle incoming support requests and managing the flow of tickets
- Resolve issues at the first opportunity, including remote access to users' machines, and talking colleagues through fixes
- Escalate advanced cases to specialists, with detailed notes on the steps already taken
- Keep accurate service records and spotting recurring issues to help prevent them
- Test systems and run updates after repairs, and guiding users through installations
- Write and maintain FAQs, help sheets and standard operating procedures
