Role: Senior Software Tester
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (DOE)
Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel to Farnborough

This is a mainly remote position, combining remote work with very occasional ad hoc on‑site collaboration in Farnborough.
Security Clearance: Sole UK nationals eligible for SC Clearance.
This is a full‑time, permanent role offering up to £70,000 per annum.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong hands‑on Python
- Experience with multiple Python test automation frameworks
- Proven ability to test command‑line utilities and APIs through functional, scenario‑based approaches
- Solid experience delivering regression testing across complex and evolving software environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing detailed test plans and translating requirements into clear, structured testing activities.
- Proven track record contributing to automation strategy or improving test processes.
- Deep experience testing mobile devices and overseeing controlled test environments.
- Confident working with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern automation tooling.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.
- Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Comfortable leading by example and supporting colleagues in a hands‑on technical setting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring full coverage of requirements and consistent, repeatable validation throughout each testing phase.
- Assess the suitability of multiple Python test automation frameworks and help define the tooling we adopt.
- Coaching junior testers on best practices across scripting, device handling, and methodology.
- Monitoring device performance, reliability, and readiness ahead of test cycles.
- Enhancing device management processes, documentation, and operational standards.
- Designing, executing, and refining both manual and automated test scenarios across mobile platforms.
- Expanding and maintaining Python‑driven automation frameworks for test execution and device management.
- Producing clear, detailed test reports, defect analysis, and quality insights.
- Running device preparation, validation, and configuration workflows prior to testing.
- Identifying gaps and improving test tooling, documentation, and operational efficiency.
