IT Operations Engineer - Wakefield (Hybrid) - Up to £33K
I am recruiting for an IT Operations Engineer based in Wakefield to join a reputable consultancy who have been around for over 100 years. The IT Systems Administrator will have previous 3rd Line experience and strong office 365, networking and mimecast experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the company's IT infrastructure. You'll be responsible for maintaining critical systems, managing technical documentation, and liaising with third-party vendors to deliver a range of IT projects and improvements.
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT Support or Systems Administration role
- Previous experience of 3rd line support
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365
- Solid understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and Mimecast
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, support and maintain the company's IT infrastructure
- Ensure systems remain secure, reliable and available for business users
- Carry out routine maintenance, updates and system upgrades
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, procedures and asset inventories
- Identify opportunities to improve hardware and software infrastructure
- Work with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver IT projects
- Apply industry best practices to support ongoing service improvements
