Role: Full Stack Software Engineer
Salary: circa £80,000 to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: fully remote, with occasional visits to Basingstoke
We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge products with a focus on Python, PostgreSQL and front-end development. You'd be working in a flexible, remote-first environment, tackling interesting and complex challenges within a small, highly skilled team.
The Full Stack Software Engineer role involves building a query interface for a large internal backend data system. It requires engaging with technical stakeholders to understand their data access needs, translating those into actionable requirements, and delivering a solution that includes both backend logic and a functional user-facing front end.
This is a full-time permanent Full Stack Software Engineer position, paying between circa £80,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
For this role, you must be eligible and willing to undergo Security Check clearance ("SC Clearance").
This Full Stack Software Engineer position is fully remote, with occasional visits to Basingstoke as needed.
Qualifications & Skills required:
- 5+ years of Python development
- Strong understanding of database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- 5+ years of front-end development and deployment
- RESTful API design and development
- Demonstrable clean, maintainable code practices

- Take ownership of designing and delivering new capabilities within existing systems
- Requirements gathering and programme planning - translating user requirements into deliverables
- Work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to new technologies
