Salary/Rate: £400 - £500 per day inside IR35
Location: Hybrid London

Contract Duration: 12-months

We are currently looking for a DPE & Telecoms Engineer for our government client.

The DPE & Telecoms Engineer role is hybrid, based between 3 days per week on site in Stratford London and the remainder of the week working remotely. There is no further flexibility with expected time on site, or the office location.

The contract for this DPE & Telecoms Engineer position is for 12-months, with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Essential Skills / Experience required:

  • Telecoms background
  • Prior experience within Rail / NRHS
  • Familiar with Early Stages of Pace

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Implement High Speed rail systems and procedures to deliver a cost-effective, high-quality, and safe approach to design, construction, commissioning, and other technical activities.
  • Review all relevant legislation.
  • Lead on all the approvals and consents required for the design and implementation of the projects.
  • Monitor the competence of all Project Engineers working on projects within the team and provide functional guidance, direction, and briefing.
  • Apply engineering controls and procedures to all projects and check all design and construction works are carried out and are appropriate to the Railway Group and Company standards applicable to their discipline.
  • Advise project and programme management in respect of all construction activities, testing and commissioning, and site supervision.
  • Monitor whether the design and construction elements meet the requirements of legislation, including construction design management (CDM) regulations.
  • Assure whether contractors' design, construction and specialist personnel are competent.
  • Undertake reviews of design and construction activities.
  • Arrange audits of contractors to monitor whether safety and quality of design, construction, testing and commissioning, and management systems are adequate.
  • Undertake the duties of Designated Project Engineer (DPE)
