Solution Architect - Applications & Technology- London
Solution Architect - Applications & Technology with strong experience designing end-to-end application and technology solutions is required by a global law firm based in central London.
It's a brand-new role to become part of a newly established solutions architecture team with hybrid working 2 days in the London office working across major technology transformation and application modernisation programmes.
Experience Required:
* Working as a Solution Architect, Application Architect, Technical Architect or similar, with end-to-end solution responsibility within a complex enterprise environment.
* Strong application architecture experience, understanding how applications, data, security, cloud, integrations and business processes fit together.
* Experience translating business requirements, capabilities and processes into end-to-end technology solutions.
* Experience defining target-state architectures, transition states and application roadmaps.
* Application modernisation and rationalisation experience, including consolidation, migration, re-platforming, replacement and retirement.
* Experience assessing technology and application options and making build, buy, reuse, consolidate, replace or retire recommendations.
* Experience running discovery and solution-shaping workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
* Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, SaaS, cloud and interoperability patterns
* Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
Desirable Experience:
* Legal, professional services, financial services or another regulated-sector background.
* Experience with applications supporting client intake, risk and compliance, matter management, financial management, document/knowledge management, CRM, data or AI.
* Exposure to platforms including Intapp, Aderant, iManage, HubSpot, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent enterprise applications.
This is a broad, application-focused Solution Architecture position working across significant technology transformation programmes. You will help shape solutions from initial business requirements through architecture, technology selection and delivery, ensuring solutions are secure, supportable and commercially sustainable.
Key Duties:
* Shape end-to-end solutions across applications, SaaS, data, security, Azure/cloud and integration.
* Facilitate discovery and solution-design workshops with business stakeholders and technology teams.
* Define target-state architectures, transition architectures and application roadmaps.
* Assess existing applications, dependencies and technical debt.
* Drive application rationalisation, modernisation, cloud migration and re-platforming.
* Evaluate applications, technologies and suppliers and produce clear option recommendations.
* Produce high-level designs, application/data flows, architecture artefacts and non-functional requirements.
* Work closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout implementation.
* Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, information governance and operational requirements.
* Present architecture recommendations, options, risks, costs and dependencies
