We are seeking a ServiceNow HRSD Solution Architect our Government client on a remote basis.
The ServiceNow HRSD Solution Architect role will be an initial 6 month contract paying between £650 - £750/Day Inside IR35.
This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.
Role Profile:
The ServiceNow HRSD Solution Architect is responsible for leading the transformation of an existing HR Service Delivery implementation towards a scalable, maintainable, and ServiceNow best practice aligned operating model. The role focuses on reducing customisation, eliminating technical debt, increasing adoption of out-of-the-box capabilities, and ensuring the platform can be upgraded and enhanced efficiently.
The architect will work closely with HR, HRSD Product Owner, Platform Team, and ServiceNow stakeholders to assess the current state, define the target-state architecture, and deliver a roadmap that maximises platform value while minimising complexity.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess the existing HRSD implementation, including customisations, integrations, workflows, and data models.
* Identify areas of technical debt, unsupported design patterns, and upgrade risks.
* Review current HR processes against ServiceNow leading practices.
* Evaluate HRSD performance, maintainability, and user experience.
* Lead the transition from heavily customised solutions to ServiceNow out-of-the-box functionality where appropriate.
* Challenge existing requirements and historical design decisions.
* Develop strategies to retire bespoke workflows, scripts, and catalogue items.
* Ensure future solutions follow a configure-before-customise approach.
* Define the HRSD architecture roadmap.
* Design scalable solutions aligned with ServiceNow product strategy and roadmap.
* Establish HRSD governance standards, architectural principles, and design patterns.
* Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
* Identify opportunities to leverage:
o Employee Journey Management
o Knowledge Management
o Case Management
o HR Agent Workspace
* Drive process harmonisation across HR functions.
* Implement HRSD architecture governance and design review processes.
* Establish HRSD standards for configuration, development, integration, and security.
* Support HRSD upgrade readiness and release management activities.
* Create HRSD decision frameworks for evaluating customisation requests.
* Present architecture recommendations and transformation roadmaps.
* Support the design of the ServiceNow HRSD Knowledge Centre, migrating and optimising HR content to deliver an out-of-the-box, employee-centric knowledge experience.
Required Experience
* well-developed soft skills
* Extensive experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery.
* Proven experience assessing and remediating ServiceNow environments.
* Experience leading platform transformation or optimisation programmes.
* Strong understanding of ServiceNow HRSD architecture and governance.
* Experience reducing customisation and driving OOTB adoption.
