IT Support Technician - Stockport

Looking for a hands-on IT support role where no two days are the same?
We're hiring an IT Support Technician to join a busy internal IT team, supporting day-to-day operations across a professional business environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid technical foundations who wants to expand their skills, gain exposure to wider infrastructure, and be part of a supportive team.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering first-line and second-line support via phone, email, and in person
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Managing user accounts, passwords, and permissions
- Supporting Windows environments, Office 365, and Active Directory
- Maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and AV equipment
- Assisting with system monitoring, backups, and security checks
- Supporting new user onboarding, setup, and training
- Working with third-party suppliers and internal departments on escalated issues
- Keeping IT asset registers and technical documentation up to date
What we're looking for:
- Experience in IT support or service desk environments
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, and Office 365
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for technology
