IT Programme Manager - Service Transitions - London - 6 Month FTC
IT Programme Manager with excellent experience in programme management, technology service transitions & offshore/global service centre migrations is required by a leading international firm based in London.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, starting ASAP.
This role leads the coordination, governance and assurance of IT & technology service transitions from the firm's UK operations to the Global Service Centre in India. You shall provide central oversight of multiple concurrent service transitions, making sure delivery stays coordinated, dependencies are managed, and services are transferred with the right operational readiness, knowledge, controls and accountability.
Experience Required:
* Expert programme & project management experience, managing complex, concurrent workstreams, integrated plans, critical paths and delivery controls.
* Worked as a Programme Manager on a global scale
* Service transition & operational readiness, including knowledge transfer, service acceptance, handover, stabilisation and readiness assurance.
* Risk, dependency & issue management across cross-functional delivery teams.
* Programme governance & reporting, including board updates, decision logs, readiness assessments and escalation.
* Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence senior leadership and delivery teams without direct authority.
* Technology operating model change experience.
* Organisational change & transition management, including people impacts, capability transfer and adoption.
* Experience transitioning services to an offshore/global service centre (ideally India) would be ideal.
As the Programme Manager, you shall sit within the Technology & IT departments, working closely with the Transition Programme Board, the Technology Senior Leadership Team, service owners and delivery teams across the UK and India. You will be the single point of coordination and independent assurance across all of the service transitions.
Key responsibilities
* Own integrated planning, coordination and programme controls across multiple concurrent technology service transitions, including the integrated plan and critical path.
* Challenge transition readiness and provide independent delivery assurance, making sure no critical service transition goes ahead without a documented readiness assessment and approval.
* Track and manage dependencies, risks, issues, actions and decisions, each with an accountable owner and agreed mitigation.
* Coordinate formal transition acceptance and handover, including knowledge transfer, operational documentation and stabilisation.
* Prepare Implementation Board updates, decision logs and readiness assessments, giving the Technology SLT clear visibility of programme health.
* Work with the Global Service Centre to confirm they have the capability and capacity to run the transferred services, and monitor service continuity after transfer.
* Consider the people impacts of each transition, supporting capability transfer and adoption.
This is a high-profile role at the centre of a major change to the firm's Technology Operating Model. You will have real visibility with senior leadership, and you can make a huge difference to how the firm's technology services are delivered going forward.
They are looking to pay between £120,000 - £150,000 pro rata for the 6 month fixed term contract, + an excellent benefits package, including flexible & hybrid working. You need to be able to start ASAP
