Application Solutions Architect - Digital - London
Application Solutions Architect with strong Digital innovation and application/business applications experience is required by a leading global company based in central London.
The key for the role is that you need to have excellent experience around Application Portfolio Ownership, so you own the application strategy, application rationalisation and business capability architectures across a large application estate.
As the Solution Architect, you will lead the design and technical delivery of applications within the technology team.
Technical Stack & Experience:
- Application Solution architecture experience; technical architect also suitable; owning the application portfolio
- Prototyping, Proof of concept and creative solution experience is a must
- Cloud platform experience mandatory (Azure preferred, AWS/Google Cloud acceptable)
- Agile experience
- Familiarity with architecture and design frameworks (TOGAF ).
- Working on Software solutions with a technical stack - SaaS/PaaS
You will get ideas from their business stream about innovation opportunities and turn these into new digital products the business can use. It is all about working with people to understand their problems and then proposing technical solutions
* Shape end-to-end solutions across applications, SaaS, and integration.
* Facilitate discovery and solution-design workshops with business stakeholders and technology teams.
* Define target-state architectures, transition architectures and application roadmaps.
* Assess existing applications, dependencies and technical debt.
* Drive application rationalisation, modernisation, cloud migration and re-platforming.
* Evaluate applications, technologies and suppliers and produce clear option recommendations.
* Produce high-level designs, application/data flows, architecture artefacts and non-functional requirements.
* Define appropriate API, messaging and data-sharing approaches as part of wider application solutions.
* Work closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout implementation.

You will be doing designs with a development team to build those prototypes and proof of concepts, and be able to see your solutions come to life within the business
This role is paying between £80,000 - £90,000 + Private Medical + Excellent Pension + Hybrid working
