Hybrid Glasgow

6-month contract

We are seeking a Tech Bar Manager for our government client. The role location is hybrid, between 2 days a week on-site in East Kilbride, Glasgow, and the remainder of the week working remotely.

Clearance: Security Check (SC)

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance of live service
  • ITIL foundation
  • Customer service management
  • User focus
  • Service reporting
  • Problem management
  • Strong technical skills and a proven track record of leading tech bar or service desk functions
  • Providing oversight of engagement with end users
  • Identifying opportunities to provide training and development to end users
  • Collaborating with the service desk, incident management, knowledge management and product teams to provide the latest updates and guidance
  • Overseeing the production of tech bar reporting and management information to identify problem management and continual service improvement opportunities
  • Coaching the tech bar team in excellent customer service management
  • Coaching the tech bar team to identify potential major incidents for escalation
  • Proactively focusing on continuous improvement of self and service
  • Providing timely reports to the Head of Service Experience
  • Providing oversight of engagement with End Users, coordinating the team to ensure that resolution activities are executed in line with Tech Bar and Incident Management processes
