SOC Security Analyst with customer service skills NO shifts!
£50k
West Midlands (Potential for hybrid)
Do you love working in a SOC, but are stuck working shifts and looking to get away from the unsociable hours?
Perhaps you've worked in IT in a customer facing position earlier in your career, and you've at least 12 months experience in the SOC, but want to use your customer / business skills to greater effect?
If you love solving technical problems and want to leverage your business skills whilst training up to be a better SOC analyst, then this is the role for you.
I'm working with an exciting growing customer who deliver Managed Security Services and have a great new opportunity, where a sizable technical team are delivering Detect and Respond / Intrusion Detection / SIEM / other technical Security Services to their customers. You will remain technically hands-on, whilst working with customers to problem solve technical issues, alongside great training to get you where you want to be. The split will be approximately 50/50.
We're keen to talk to SOC analysts with great communication skills, who would like to 'get ahead' in the game using their personal and communication skill. This role would be ideal for someone who has perhaps come from an IT customer support background and has trained in cyber and is now working in a SOC, but stuck working unsociable hours wanting to get their evenings and weekends back!
You'll also get to take advantage of:
- NO SHIFTS! Daytimes only.
- GREAT training and career development opportunities (Including paid certs!)
- Private healthcare and good holiday allowance
- Flexible & hybrid working.
- Smart managers and colleagues who will be able to appreciate your individual contribution in a very noisy market.
You'll ideally at least a years' experience working in a SOC, either at T1 or T2 level, and be technically aware of the sort of security threats companies face. You'll have experience with status reporting and chasing up action, and helping deliver a great customer experience. Whilst this is la truly hybrid role, you'll still spend time in the SOC with the team - so you will still be able to stay up to date with all the latest security tools and remain technically hands-on.
Training is extremely strong, and the working environment is a very interesting one.
*Due to the nature of the work, eligible candidates will need to be eligible for SC level clearance, with 5 years unbroken work history/residency in the UK.*
Some things we would love to see on your CV:
- Experience working in a SOC environment for at least 12 months
- Experience in a customer facing role.
- Well written and concise communication style
- A real passion for cyber security, perhaps evidenced in private study before you started in cyber
- Problem solving skills, in a technical environment
- Knowledge of security threats
- Status reporting, chasing actions and delivering resolution
Click 'Apply' or email your CV to me directly at tariq [dot] dirania [at] circlerecruitment [dot] com - PLEASE don't just send the same old CV you send for any SOC role, really show your communication and writing skills, maybe even with a covering letter.
Thank you and happy hunting!
