Senior Software Test Engineer - SEIT - Python, Java, AWS
Manchester (1 day a month in the office)
£60,000-£65,000 + 16% Pension, Bonus
A household giant in the Automotive space has recently partnered with Amazon to deliver the data services that is going to drive/train the AI and platform that will be key to the introduction of autonomous/driverless vehicles!
This is an entirely new squad build and as part of that I am looking for TWO Senior Software Test Engineer / Software Engineer in Test (SEIT) professionals who have a real drive for quality and standards and core experience developing and testing bespoke built enterprise scale cloud-native applications using modern CI/CD tools and techniques.
You will have a depth of experience across Automation testing (Python & Java) and a breadth of knowledge across quality tooling such as RestAssured, Cypress, Postman and/or K6. You'll be working across a vast variety of digital projects and platforms, closely with a team of multi-disciplined engineers with a focus on testability, performance and quality. You will have a depth of Cloud (AWS) experience and an understanding of the transfer of data through a system, so maybe No-SQL database experience, message queue systems (Kafka, MQTT) or strong API experience.
Reporting into the Principal Software Engineer in Test you will be part of the Data squad but key figures amongst with wider test community internally which is currently at 22 Test Engineers. You will define and put in place testing for systems, platforms and APIs utilising automation tools.
As a Senior SEIT you will take ownership of test engineering quality ops, test standards/practices and at times be responsible for mentoring or coaching of junior SEITs. You will have a clear passion for quality and a real growth mindset when it comes to not only you but other test professionals around you.
