Senior Project Manager IT & Change - Cheshire / North Midlands

We're recruiting for a brand-new role for a Senior Project Manager IT & Change to help shape the future of a multi-million-pound turnover business.

The Role:

The Senior Project Manager will establish the IT Project Management Office and ensure that it provides comprehensive and well governed delivery, support, and assurance of the IT Change Portfolio. The role will also develop and manage the IT project management standards, processes, and tools as well as project managing the delivery of projects.

We are looking for a candidate who is based in and around the Cheshire / North Midlands as there will be travel to the North and South of England, in a hybrid based setup.

As the Senior Project Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing a wide range of IT and IT Change initiatives. Working closely with the leadership team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include:

Ownership and management of the IT Change Portfolio; ensuring effective delivery of portfolio items, progress tracking, risk management and escalation of delivery issues.

Defining and embedding frameworks, processes, and standards in relation to the lifecycle of IT projects, iterative releases, and testing.

Engaging with key Business and/or IT stakeholders to create viable business cases that allow for informed judgements around approval and prioritisation of the resulting IT Change Portfolio items.

Project Management: Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Team Leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources and manage budgets for IT projects. Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report on key performance metrics. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
