Position Overview: As an IT Field Service Technician, you'll be playing a crucial role in providing comprehensive IT and hardware support across the Guildford and Southwest London area. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, performing hardware maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of various IT systems, including tablets, printers, and kiosks and anything that connects to the companies' network. We're looking for someone with excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical background, and a commitment to delivering high end customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site IT support and hardware maintenance services to various sites across Guildford, Farnborough, Basingstoke and the Southwest London area.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to laptops, tablets, printers, and kiosks.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software components as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of IT systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps and solutions, for future reference.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a field-based role - IT support and hardware maintenance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Experience supporting tablets, printers, and kiosks is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the designated area.
