IT Application Analyst with excellent troubleshooting, IT support and software application support skills, is required by a leading law firm in Leeds. Joining the IT Application Solutions team, you will be responsible for the delivery of quality application support, as well as working with the team to configure key business software applications. The role is a 70/30 split usually between new projects and support.
This role would be ideal for someone with experience as an IT Service Desk Analyst looking to progress their career, or an IT graduate with strong troubleshooting ability and drive to learn, as the role will offer excellent training and development. You will have a personalised training plan to allow you to develop your skills and progress into senior positions in the future, or into different areas within solutions and data if desired.
This is a project-focused role, and you will be working on a variety of exciting new projects from new systems implementations to CRM and HR projects, as well as future projects with AI.
Experience:
- Technical graduate with ideally some experience of designing, developing, supporting, delivering and maintaining bespoke business applications
- Desire to try different technologies and methodologies used deliver projects
- Ability to think logically, analyse situations and solve technical problems
- A customer focused approach to service improvement
- Knowledge of application systems - installation, desktops, networks, databases, servers, IIS, Security
- Ideally you will have a technically understanding of integration services, working with integration technologies such as REST API s/SOAP/sFTP/SSIS.
- Commercial inquisitiveness that allows you to understand the challenges faced by the firm and its clients and develop solutions to match.
- Ability to quickly identify project risks
- Any knowledge of SQL, PowerShell or SharePoint would be a bonus
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to experiment and explore new ways of delivering technology solutions
- Any experience with Legal systems, HR Systems, CRM systems or financial systems would be a bonus
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team to ensure the successful delivery of IT and business projects
- Troubleshooting/triage of complex support tickets
- Assist with installation and configuration of in-house and 3rd party solutions
- Troubleshoot outages with 3rd party suppliers
- Health maintenance of key business systems, managing the portfolio of change for these key systems and being the technical lead on related projects
- Support the Service Delivery team by troubleshooting complex incidents that have been escalated to the IT Solutions team
- Documentation and process management of Business IT Solutions
- Assisting stakeholders for each project and working with the team to ensure that the vision is technically achievable.
Providing training is a key area for the hiring manager, they conduct one-to-ones with all of the team every two weeks to see how they're getting on with their work, as well as discussing stress levels and mental health, to ensure the happiness of the team. They also go through a training plan monthly to provide direction and tailors the training to the individual. This can be individual training projects (e.g. learning SQL) and your manager will work with you on these to aid your development.
