Firewall Engineer - Full remote in the UK to £55k - Good bens, training, and an exciting project!
I'm an experienced cyber recruiter looking to make contact with bright, energetic, technical Firewall engineers in the UK.
We're keen to talk to engineers with good, strong experience in Networking and infrastructure, who have recent hands on with FW Devices, either physically, or in Cloud environments. Some of the skills we'd value highly would be Fortigate, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto or others.
This role is:
FULLY remote in the UK
- Offers vendor training and certs for the right people
- Is a fantastic a unique project for a top cyber business
- Good package including some on-call bonus,
You'll already be a strong network engineer, with good and current experience of Routing, Switching and TCP/IP, troubleshooting and SLAs, with some hands on experience of firewalls as part of your role.
Some things we'd love to see on a CV would include:
- Some reasonable firewall experience in Cisco, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint,
- Strong Network background and knowledge of TCP/IP trouble-shooting
- 5 years UK work experience due to project type
You don't need to be a DEDICATED Firewall specialist at this point, but you do need to be able to commission and configure the devices, patch, and manage them as part of yourrole. You WILL however, need a FANTASTIC knowledge of subnetting, routing, and security concepts, and some strong theoretical knowledge, and be ready to push to the next stages of your career!
