Job Description:
Are you an experienced and passionate IT professional with a knack for providing top-notch technical support? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an IT Technical Support Specialist.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the functionality of our organization's computer systems, ensuring both hardware and software operate seamlessly. This is an on-site role (Mon - Fri) with a preference for candidates to be located in the Manchester region.
My client is a well-established logistics business with a strong foothold in their market place, they can offer a secure working environment with plenty of opportunity for further development and they are going to give you loads of opportunity to enhance their IT Support and SQL reporting function.
What you will do:
- Provide technical assistance for computer hardware and software-related issues.
- Resolve support queries via phone, in person, or electronic communication.
- Log and track bugs, enhancement requests, and technical issues efficiently.
- Monitor server farms and conduct general maintenance tasks such as file clearing.
- Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers to ensure swift issue resolution.
- Conduct hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates as required.
- Perform general maintenance functions on the company's ERP system.
- Create and maintain solutions, tips, and tricks for online databases and websites.
- Provide introductory online and classroom training for company products.
- Resolve technical issues promptly using available resources within the company or third-party support.
- Generate and compile management reports using SQL, VBscript, PLSQL, or similar tools.
Who you are:
- Customer service skills and a passion for delivering quality support.
- Trouble shooting skills
- Previous working experience in IT support.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10, Mac OS, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Veeam, VM Ware, and Horizon is preferred.
- Proficiency in PLSQL, SQL, VBscript is a plus.
