1st Line IT Support Engineer - Sheffield
One of the UKs market-leading financial services companies who work globally are looking for a 1st Line IT Service Desk Engineer to bolster their growing IT team! As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be directly involved within the team by feeding information to the 2nd Line Engineers and assisting with receiving and logging calls on behalf of other colleagues.
The key skills needed for this role are.
- Experience of working in a 1st line IT Support role / Service Desk Role
- Active Directory
- Office 365
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good organisation skills
- The ability to learn in-house systems and explain them to other people
- Problem Solving Skills
The main duties and responsibilities of the role is to communicate effectively to the 2nd Line Engineers and explain how the in-house systems work to other people. In addition, you will be receiving, and logging calls on behalf of other colleagues and act proactively with them. Also, you will be managing incidents, requests and problems which arise and maintaining any incidents, requests and problems. There is an opportunity to progress to a 2nd line and 3rd line role in the future as the company like to promote from within.
The salary for this role will begin at £22,000 raising to £24,000 depending on experience which includes a pension scheme as well with the chance of progression within the company!
